‌2205 stainless steel (also known as duplex stainless steel) is a high-performance stainless steel material with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good toughness. ‌

Chemical composition and physical properties
The main chemical components of 2205 stainless steel include chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo) and nitrogen (N). Its chromium content is about 22%, nickel content is about 4.5% to 6.5%, molybdenum content is about 2.5%, and nitrogen content is about 0.14% to 0.20%. The reasonable ratio of these elements makes 2205 stainless steel have excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. ‌
Performance characteristics ‌Corrosion resistance‌: 2205 stainless steel has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, and is suitable for a variety of harsh environments, especially in environments containing chloride ions. ‌High strength‌: Its yield strength and tensile strength are higher than those of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, and it can withstand greater external forces and pressures. ‌Good toughness‌: Even in low temperature environments, 2205 stainless steel can maintain good toughness and impact toughness, and is not prone to brittle fracture. ‌
